This lot comes from Harowacho village in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone (Uraga district), where the washing station was established 14 years ago by Bisrat Melaku. Grown at high elevations near Mount Quto and the Seboba River, the area provides ideal conditions for producing high-quality coffee.

Coffee is sourced from 40–60 smallholder farmers and harvested by 400–500 pickers. Ripe cherries are delivered to the Harsu Sala washing station, where they are density-sorted, fermented for 72 hours, washed, inspected for defects, and dried on raised beds for 5–8 days to a target moisture content of 11%.

The coffee is dried on carefully managed African raised beds, which promote airflow and temperature control, protecting the coffee from over-fermentation and mould while ensuring exceptional quality.
