About Farroupilha Farm:
Coffee is at the heart of Farroupilha Farm, but its agricultural story began long before coffee became its focus.
In 1976, at just 25 years old, Inacio Carlos Urban arrived in Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro region with a vision: to transform land once considered unproductive into thriving farmland capable of feeding a growing world. Through determination, innovation, and hard work, he helped unlock the region’s agricultural potential and played a role in shaping its future.
Today, Farroupilha Farm is led by Inacio alongside the next generation, Fernando Urban and Erika Urban, who continue to expand the business through technology, innovation, and diversification.
A Diversified Agricultural Business
What began as a soybean seed operation has grown into a diversified agribusiness producing and marketing coffee, cotton, corn, tomatoes, wheat, and livestock. Continuous investment in technology, infrastructure, and genetics has helped Farroupilha Farm maintain a strong focus on productivity, quality, and sustainability.
Quality & Sustainability
The farm holds several respected certifications, including Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Certified, Café do Cerrado, Denominação de Origem, ISO 17025, ABR, and BCI, reflecting its dedication to excellence and responsible production.
